BluPAL

This personal Bluetooth® digital audio device enables clear hearing in noisy environments. A great solution for classroom or conference settings, a discussion leader can wear the transmitter for enhanced sound to the patient's ELI. BluPAL can also be connected to the audio output of sound systems like televisions, FM radios and MP3 players.

Using the BluPAL System for Personal Communications

In Conversation

To participate in a conversation in a car or noisy restaurant, give the BluPAL Transmitter/Microphone to your companion with the 3-way input switch set to DIR for the directional microphone.  Your companion can clip the BluPAL Transmitter/Microphone to his or her shirt or use the lanyard provided.  For a conversation with  more than one person, try setting the 3-way input switch to OMNI for the all-around microphone or DIR for the directional microphone.

In a Meeting

To hear better in a meeting, put the BluPAL Transmitter/Microphone in the middle of the table with the 3-way input switch set to OMNI for the all-around microphone.

In a Classroom or Lecture Hall

Set the BluPAL Transmitter/Microphone on the podium or attach it to the speaker’s lapel with the 3-way input switch set to DIR for the directional microphone.  Keep in mind that the signal will transmit up to 33 feet from the BluPAL devise to the ELI DirX module.
